Whole Wheat Cookies

Recipe:


Ingredients:


1 teaspoon baking powder

Less than half tea spoon baking soda

1 cup ghee or unsalted butter

1 cup full and whole wheat flour

1/2 cup sooji

1 cup sugar powder or depends on your choice how much you need sweetness

For kneeding you can use milk or water.

Pinch of salt.


First step

In a mixing bowl.


Take butter or ghee and sugar powder, baking powder mix well and beat the mixture properly until light and creamy texture


Shift in a large bowl then add wheat flour,sooji and baking soda. Knead with milk. Gently bring the dough together

Do not knead to much, make soft dough

Use 1 tablespoon milk to knead dough if REQUIRED


Cover and Keep this dough in fridge for 10 minutes. Sooji will rise then dough will becum tight add one spoon of milk and knead softly.

Make small balls out of dough

Roll each dough ball between your palms

Then flatten it and garnished with any choice of your dry fruit. Or you can add crushed roasted dry fruits during kneading.


Take baking tray for oven or plate if you will bake in kadai or cooker. Place parchment paper/butter paper on base in both case.


Place all the cookies on a baking trays


Pre heating is must. Preheat oven on 180 c or if you make in kadai or cooker preheat them too for 10- minutes in medium flame.


Bake for 25-30 minutes in 180 c until golden brown. After times up if you feel cookies are very soft and didnt get golden brown colour then you can bake 5-10 minutes more.


The cookies will crisp after cooling

Then store in an airtight container


Can store for 2 weeks.
