Soya chaap prepared from soya bean which is rich in protein and is best alternative to meat or chicken. It is most popular in south east asian countries like India, Bangladesh and Pakistan and is typically prepared with skewers in tandoor or clay oven.

For 3-4 people Ingredients : 250 gm soya Chaap 3 riped medium sized tomato 2 medium sized onion 1 medium green chilli 1 inch ginger 3-4 garlic buds Spices : 1tsp of jeera (cumin seeds) 1/4 tsp of heeng (asafoetida) 1 tsp of coriander powder 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder 1 tsp garam masala. 1tsp of amchoor powder 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder Salt according to taste Method:

First you need to wash soya chaap properly. And take out off the sticks from chaap. Clean it. Now cut into 2 inch sized pieces. Wipe it completely with cotton cloth. If you want cook with stick its your choice. But i think cutted pieces are easy to eat.

Now place a pan with some oil for frying. Fry chaap pieces into the oil until you get light golden brown colour. After frying take out from oil and soak extra oil with tissue paper.

Now make masala curry for chaap. Make a smooth paste of tomato, onion, green chilli, ginger and garlic in grinder.

Take another pan add 2 tbsp of oil. When the oil becomes medium hot add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Let them crackle.

In the same time in a bowl make a watery mixture of turmeric powder, red chilli and coriander powder, now add into the pan and stir for few minutes.

Now add tomato - onion paste into pan and cook until you get thick paste and oils leavings from the sides of the paste.

Now add garam masala, amchoor powder and salt into the paste. Mix well.

Add fried chaap pieces into the paste. Stir for few minute. Now add 2 full cups of water. Stir and cover it with lid.

Cook for atleast 15-20 minutes in low to medium flame.

Once it cooked garnish with fresh coriander leaves. And serve with roti and rice.

Thank you everyone 😊
