Pizza on Pan

Ingredients :


Pizza base

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese grated

Few slices of chopped onion

Few slices of chopped tomato

Few slices of chopped capsicum

Few slices of mushrooms

Some marinated Paneer cubes. (marinated in lemon juice and chilli powder)

Some corn pearls

Salt as required

Butter as required

1/2 tsp oreagano

1/2 tsp chilli flakes

Pizza seasoning

Pizza sause


Corn meal flour (yellow) for dusting.


Corn meal flour isn’t in the dough, but it’s used to dust the pizza pan. Cornmeal gives the pizza crust a little extra flavor and crisp. Most delivery pizzas you enjoy have cornmeal on the bottom crust!


In my this recipe you need a pan with cover and one extra tawa. It very easily to get at home.


How to make pizza base.

Take your pizza dough and knead again for 4-5 minutes. Cut it into two equal portions.



Now dust some corn meal flour on your kitchen platform. If you have corn meal flour (yellow flour) at home dust that. I use corn meal flour (yellow one) for dusting because it gives freeness to your dough during rolling and when you bakes your pizza on pan it prevents to burn the the base and gives extra cripyness and flavour to your pizza.


If you dont have, dont worry use your all purpose flour.



Roll dough out into a 12-inch circle if you want thin crust pizza roll the dough thin. Make holes all over on the pizza base with help of fork. For pan baking you need to bake your base first from both side for few minutes.



Take any flat tawa and keep on gas in low flame. Once the tawa become hot slightly brush some butter and place your rolled pizza base. Baked from both side very light golden brown.


Your pizza base is ready.



Now how to bake pizza on pan :


First you need to preheat your pan on gas just like oven. Place your pan with lid on gas in low to medium flame for 10 minutes. And on another gas stove place any flat tawa in low flame.



Now place your pizza base on clean surface, spread some pizza sauce evenly all over the base.



Place some sliced onion, capsicum, corn, mushroom, paneer or whatever toppings you have.


Finally sprinkle spices like oregano, chilli flakes mixed herbs and cheese evenly over it.



Open your pan and brush some butter and place the pizza into the pan and cover it with lid and place your pan on tawa. And cook for 20 - 25 minutes into medium flame till the base is crispy and the cheese has melted. Keep checking the base during baking.


I use flat tawa under the pan because it prevents to pizza base from burning and it gives uniformly heat to pizza.


Once you feel it baked completely take out from pan and cut into pieces. Sprinkle spices and serve.



Note : Keep checking pizza during cooking.
