Pav Bhaji

Ingredients :
3 medium sized chopped tomato
3 medium sized mashed boiled potato
2 medium sized chopped onion
1 cup full grated cauliflower (gobhi)
1 cup full grated carrot
1/2 cup boiled peas (optional)
1/2 cup butter
1 medium sized lemon juice
1 tsp of ginger paste
1 green chilli (optional)
2 tsp of coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp of red chilli powder
2 tbsp of pav bhaji masala
Salt according to taste
Coriander for garnish
Some chopped onion more for garnish.
And of course pav bread.
Method :
Here i m presenting very easy and tasty pav bhaji recipe.
First take a pressure cooker. Add one tbsp of oil. Then add chopped onion,ginger paste, and green chilli. Fry them until onion become light brown in colour. Then add tomato and fry for 4-5 minutes.
Now add boiled mashed potatoes, grated cauliflower, grated carrot and mix all properly with the help of spatula. Add peas and mix.
Add coriander powder, red chilli powder,garam masala and salt.
After all this lock your pressure cooker and give atleast 4-5 whistle.
Once the whistle complete leave you pressure cooker for a while. Then open it. You will see all the veggies cooked properly. Now take your masher and mashed perfectly all cooked veggies.
Now add 2 tbsp of pav bhaji masala Mix it all and add 2 cups of water, add lemon juice, coriander and butter. Mix all. Your bhaji is ready.
For pav :
Cut the pav in two pieces horizontally. Take a pan, heat 1tsp of butter and add pav bhaji masala and toast the pav from both side for 2-3 minutes until slightly crisp.
Now serve bhaji with toasted pav. Garnish the bhaji with some chopped onion, coriander leaves and lemon. Top some more butter on bhaji.
