Lemon Sesame Dream Cake

I made it first time and it came out so soft and yummy. The best tea time cake. Here i m sharing the recipe with you all. Do try it once.
Ingredients :
1 cup unsalted butter softened or 3/4 cup of of any vegetable oil
1 + 1/4 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cup plain flour
1 tsp baking powder or if you dont have baking powder add 1/2 tsp of baking soda.
pinch of salt
1 tsp of lemon juice
1/2 cup of toasted sesame seeds
For the topping:
1 -2 tablespoons of toasted sesame seeds
5-6 tablespoons of runny honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
Firstly, in a large bowl take 1 + 1/4 cup. sugar, 3/4 cup oil through spoon , 1 tsp of lemon juice 1/2 cup yogurt.
Whisk and mix well until sugar melts completely.
Place a sieve and add 2 cup maida and 1/2 tsp of soda. Sieve the flour making sure there are no lumps. ( I use sweet soda instead of baking powder because sweet soda reacts very well with acidic product like lemon juice and yogurt and gives very smooth fluffy texture in cake). Add 1 tsp of vanilla essence too.
now using cut and fold method, mix the batter.
Now add 1/2 cup of toasted sesame seeds and mix.
Add ¼ cup warm milk or as required and prepare a smooth consistency batter.
To prepare the cake in a pressure cooker or kadahi add in 2 cup of salt or place any stand and close the lid of cooker/ kadhai without keeping the gasket and whistle. heat for 5 to 10 minutes. as a result, gives a preheat oven atmosphere.
Now transfer the cake batter to a greased medium sized cake mould make sure to line a butter paper at the bottom to prevent from sticking.
Tap twice to level up uniformly and remove any air bubbles if present and place the cake pan into preheated cooker/ kadhai. (i bake into oven at 180 degree for 25-30 minutes. )
Cover it and bake on a medium flame for
25 -30 minutes. Do not open lid during the baking otherwise your cake will dence from center.
Once your cake baked check with tooth pick.
Insert a tooth pick into the cake if the tooth pick comes out clearly it means cake is done if tooth pick comes out with sticky cake it means you need to bake for more some time atleast 5 -10 minutes more.
cool the cake and then unmould the chocolate cake.
You can bake the cake into preheated oven in 180 degree for 25 - 30 minutes.
Once the cake is cooled completely, demold the cake and

Now make mix the cinnamon powder and ground ginger with the honey, if it is a little too thick to spread add a tiny bit of hot water.
Spread over the cake with a pastry brush (silicone ones are best for sticky honey)
Sprinkle over toasted sesame seeds generously.
Cut it, eat it, be happy, and hopefully dream about it later on. 🙂
