Falafel are delicious balls of chickpea and herb goodness that you find in Middle Eastern cooking. Naturally vegan and vegetarian, falafel are great in wraps, pitas, sandwiches and salads. Today, I’ll share how to make both fried falafel and make in appe pan with less oil. You choose your favorite!
Recipe :
Ingredients :
2 cup of chickpeas (soaked overnight and boiled )
1 tbsp of finely chopped green chilli, ginger and garlic
1/2 cup of chopped onion
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of salt or according to taste
1 cup fresh coriander leaves.
First you need to wash soaked chickpeas. Strain off all water from chickpeas. Keep aside.
Now in blender add chickpeas ginger, garlic, green chilli paste, onion, black pepper, coriander leaves, pinch of soda and salt. Grind coarsely.
Transfer the mixture into a bowl and make small balls like picture.
I made my falafel in appe pan with less oil. Brush oil on appe pan and place each ball in each holes. Bake flip bake in medium flame until you get dark crisp golden brown colour. You can do deep fry until get dark golden brown colour.
Soak extra oil on tissue paper.
Its ready enjoy it with pitta bread, mini buns burger or eat as it is with any sauce.
Thank You Everyone 😊
